Dubai Metro Train
The Dubai Metro Green Line opens today, September 9, 2011. The Green Line is 14 miles (23 km) long. When combined with the Dubai Red Line which opened 2 years ago, the system consists of 46 miles (75 km) of fully automated, driverless track.
The maximum running speed of trains is 55 mph (90km/h).
The combined lines are expected to transport more than 40 million passengers a year.
